The way restaurants work is changing, and the pandemic has only accelerated this transformation. Guests will more than ever before favour the restaurants providing a personalised experience. Data and personalisation are the new must-haves for restaurants to succeed in the new era of hospitality.

Many tools like the booking calendar, taking orders and payments are today digitised, making it easier and convenient for restaurants to manage their business. Despite this, restaurants still use multiple systems which cannot integrate to manage their daily operations. Faulty integrations and the rise of GDPR and data regulations make it almost impossible for restaurants to share personal information across different platforms to better understand their guests and business, and ultimately improve their performance, upselling and guest satisfaction.

One platform to connect it all

With the introduction of Superb’s Guest Experience Management platform (GXM), restaurants can finally gather all their tools (Reservations, POS, and Payments) in one platform allowing them to collect and use data to provide every guest with a personalised experience, build repeat business and maximise their revenue. So far, hundreds of restaurants have chosen to join the Superb community, including the likes of Restaurant Etoile in Stockholm, Sushi Anaba in Copenhagen, Maaemo in Oslo and many more.

Entering the next growth stage

After introducing Guest Experience Management (GXM) as a new category within the hospitality industry in 2017, we quickly became the leading platform of choice for mid-to-high-end restaurants that want to stand out, offer a personalised experience, make guests come back again and increase revenue. We recorded +100% growth during the pandemic, even though restaurants were closed in multiple countries proving that restaurants are more committed to optimising their business and guest experience like never before. But we are still hungry and have lots to do, and we are only becoming more and more ambitious for every new restaurant joining our community.

What a rollercoaster this year has been for us all, and that’s why it feels even better to announce that we’ve raised our Series A investment of €12 million!

This Series A investment is led by Swedish Kinnevik, joined by SaaS investor Knight Capital, SEED Capital and individual contributions from Björn Lindberg (former CCO of PayPal — owned mobile card reader supplier Zettle), and Michael Conyers (founder of online reservations system, ResDiary).

We will use the funding to expand our team and increase our local presence in key markets

We will continue recruiting talent and professionals to strengthen our position as the leader in the Nordics for high-quality restaurants while preparing to roll out GXM across new markets across Europe. The funds will also help establish Superb’s Guest Experience Management platform as the new standard for restaurants. Including the launch of new and exciting products, advanced guest profiles, marketing tools to better attract new and regular guests and an improved day to day overview of the business.

Let’s build the future guest experience together

We are an international and remote-first team located across 12 different countries. We recently opened our first Superb Clubs in Copenhagen and Stockholm, and we are currently looking for Superb people to join us!

We are happy to finally see restaurateurs returning to their homes, unite with their teams and welcome their guests again. Thanks to every restaurant, investor and team member for believing in us and taking part in our journey. We are excited to take on the next chapter together.

Together we believe experience matters.
